The Relationship between the Fear, the Perceived Risk of COVID-19 and Compliance with Standard Precautions of Nurses

Aim: it was aimed to examine the correlation between fear of COVID-19 and perceived risk compliance with standard precautions nurses working in pandemic clinics. Materials Methods: The study conducted a cross-sectional research design. sample consists 194 participants who worked clinics November 2020 - January 2021 an Education Research Hospital Ankara, met inclusion criteria. Data collection form consisted Introductory Information Form (18 questions), Fear Scale (7 items), Perceived Risk (8 items) Standard Precautions (20 items). data were collected by considering conditions, using online questionnaire. Mann Whitney U Test Kruskal Wallis Variance Analysis used compare continuous data. Spearman Correlation determine scales’ scores. Results: mean age 29.01 ± 6.73. Participants’ scores on Scale, 19.83 6.36, 29.89 5, 14.05 2.81, respectively. It determined that there moderate positive significant (r = 0.619; p 0.001). There no statistically Compliance (p>0.05). Conclusion: In line results obtained study, nurses’ above average. However, revealed not related Precautions.
